Fees: Determined through Financial Needs
Assessment at intake.
Eligibility: Any individual who has a physical or
mental impairment; the impairment constitutes
or results in a substantial impediment to
employment; the applicant requires services to
prepare for, enter into, engage in, regain or
retain gainful employment consistent with the
applicant’s strengths, concerns, abilities,
capabilities and informed choice.
Intake procedure: Obtain application at the
Rawlins office and set appointment

Organization Info: The Wyoming Department of
Workforce Services – Vocational
Rehabilitation Division can provide only those
services which are necessary for eligible
individuals to reach the employment goal agreed
to in the Individualized Plan for Employment.
These services may include, but are not limited
to eligibility assessment, counseling and
guidance, referral services, job search and
placement assistance, job retention and career
follow-up, vocational and other training services,
facilitation of diagnosis and treatment of physical
and mental impairments, transportation services,
personal assistance services, deaf and blind
interpretive services, rehabilitation teaching
services, occupational licenses, tools and
equipment, self-employment opportunities,
rehabilitation technology services, transition
services (from school-to-work), and supported
employment services.

Tracy Young

Tracy has dedicated the past 22 years to community prevention work in Wyoming, demonstrating a deep and unwavering commitment to the well-being of her peers and communities. The majority of her impactful career has been spent in Laramie, where she also served for several years with the Wyoming Association of Chiefs and Sheriffs of Police. Currently, Tracy serves Carbon County as a local Community Prevention Specialist. Her dedication extends beyond county lines, as she also serves as a Crisis Intervention Team Coordinator and Trainer for the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

Tracy and her husband established their roots in Laramie in 2001 with their son, Alex. In 2013, during the heart of her career focused on substance abuse and suicide prevention, Tracy and her husband faced the unimaginable loss of their only child, Alex, to suicide. This profound personal experience has undoubtedly deepened Tracy’s resolve and understanding in her ongoing work within the prevention field.
